Flick them in and around structures in the shallows, sight cast to schools of fish, slow troll them behind the boat or send them down to the bottom and just bounce along. Try different techniques until you find what is working at the time and for your targeted species. I never go fishing without a soft plastic ready to go. You just never know what will show up at your feet when on the water
